I'm official!!!
I sent in my paperwork to Stampin' Up on Monday and by Thursday I received an e-mail and phone call welcoming me as the newest Stampin' Up demonstrator. My starter kit is on it's way. I am so excited. I have been talking with a few people about it and I already have 2 people interested in having a show for me. They will have people in attendance that are outside of my "normal" circle of friends. This is soooo big for me. I think I finally found the right direct sales company for me.
This will be my 3rd direct sales company.
The first was a well known candle company. Yes it is a gret company and yes they have a great plan but the downfall is that it is oversaturated in my area. People got so sick of having shows for me and it fizzled out really fast.
The second company is a Bath & Body company. They are also a fantastic company but they aren't very well known. That can be both a good and a bad thing. For me, I just couldn't get people to try a new product. Their products are fabulous and I will continue to use them personally. I just won't be actively trying to sell them. I will still take orders but if I don't get any I won't be disappointed.
This last company is something very close to my heart. I only recently dicovered my love of stamping. I went to a weekend craft get together with some friends of a message board that I frequent regularly. Someone there introduced me to stamping. I really enjoyed myself but didn't think anything would come of it. When I returned home my cousin invited me to a stamoing party. From then on I was hooked. We made 10 cards for $10. I knew from that very first night that I would someday be a demonstrator.
Now I just sit and wait. My starter kit will be here on Wednesday. I am thinking of writing a letter to my local churches to see if they would be interested in letting me come in one night a month to host a stamp club. I am eager to see what comes of this. Until I get me kit I am researching everything I can on how to grow this business rapidly. I know there are lots of other reps in the area but I figure that if I hadn't heard of this company until a few months ago there must be other people who haven't heard of them either.
I will post more once I receive my kit and share even more of my excitement.
